The 5th TRIZ Symposium in Japan, 2009 was held with the participation by 137 people (including 19 from abroad) and resulted in much success. 43 presentations (including 2 Keynotes, and 1 Tutorial, besides 24 contributed oral and 15 poster presentations (plus 1 absent paper) ) were given with active discussions and intimate communications among the participants. The symposium was carried out with very minor change in the advanced agenda. This page records the results and documents. - To provide an opportunity for openly presenting, discussing, and communicating on TRIZ, a methodology for creative problem solving and innovation, and its related areas.
- To encourage the improvement of the TRIZ methodology itself and to enhance penetration, promotion and application of TRIZ.
- To provide opportunities for making personal relationships among the people interested in and working with TRIZ in Japan and in the World, and to encourage the understanding and penetration of TRIZ.

Following last year, the Japanese participants were asked for voting for "Best presentation for me" among all the contributed presentations.
