"The Second TRIZ Symposium in Japan" was held by Japan TRIZ CB on Aug. 31 through Sept. 2, 2006 at Suita City, Osaka, with the participation of 157 people (including 18 people from 8 countries outside Japan) and with the presentation of 34 invited and contributed papers (including 11 papers presented by overseas participants). The Symposium was primarily Japanese National and partially (as much as possible) International in nature. The agenda announced earlier was carried out in an intimate and active atomosphere. "The Second TRIZ Symposium in Japan, 2006", Outline (Sept. 20, 2006)
Date: Aug. 31, 2006 (Thu.) -- Sept. 2, 2006 (Sat.) (2 days and half)
Location: Matsushita's Pana-Hills Osaka, Suita City, Osaka, Japan
Organizer: The Collaborative Board of TRIZ Promotors and Users in Japan (or Japan TRIZ CB)
Purpose: To provide with an open opportunity for presenting, discussing, and communicating in Japan on TRIZ and related area.
Activities:
- 2 Keynote Speeches, 2 Invited Talks, and 1 Introductory Lecture.
- 17 Oral Presentations of contributed papers (30 min. talk + 10 min. Q&A) in sigle or double tracks
- 12 Poster Presentations of contributed papers (80 min. in parallel; 2 sessions)
- Reception and Informal Discussion Meetings in the evenings
Official language: Japanese and English.
Slides of all the oral presentations were projected in the two languages in parallel.
Proceedings were published both in English and in Japanese Editions.Participants: 157 in total: 139 from Japan, 18 from overseas (USA, UK, Germany, Russia, Korea, India, Taiwan, China).

The contents of Introductory and all contributed presentations at the Symposium, however, have been decided not to be published in its Official Pages (just as done for the First TRIZ Symposium). Nevertheless, since the Authors of presentations at the Symposium have the copyrights of their own papers, they are able to submit their own papers to any journals or Web sites (including those in Japan) for publication or posting; in such a publication the Authors are requested to refer to the Second TRIZ Symposium in Japan.
