Report: "The Second TRIZ Symposium in Japan, 2006" was held on Aug. 31 - Sept. 2, 2006 at Suita, Osaka (Sept. 20, 2006; Oct. 2, 2006)

157 participants (including 18 from abroad) and 34 presentations (including 11 from abroad). The Symposium is primarily Japanese National AND partially (as much as possible) International. Presentations were given from 8 countries (USA, UK, Germany, Russia, Korea, India, Taiwan, and China (Hong Kong)) besides from Japan. Slides were projected in Japanese and in English in parallel, and Proceedings were published in two language editions. Presentations were given on a wide range of topics and people discussed and communicated actively. Slides and papers of Keynotes will be posted in the Official pages in the near future. Japan TRIZ CB is going to reorganize and empower itself so as to hold the Third TRIZ Symposium next year. |

[In addition to the five invited talks annouced earlier, total of 31 contributed presentations will be given (6 sigle-track talks, 12 double-track talks, and 12 parallel poster presentations (in 2 poster sessions). 13 presentations are from overseas. For all the oral presentations, the slides will be shown in English and in Japanese in parallel. International participation is very well come. Check the Agenda and the Abstracts to find oustanding presentations and to come to join us in the presetnations, discussions and intimate communications.]

Official Announcement of Japan TRIZ CB (Feb. 22, 2006). 
[Japan TRIZ CB is going to hold "The Second TRIZ Symosium in Japan" for the purpose of providing an open forum for presentation, discussion, and partnership. Plan of the Symposium and Call for Papers have been posted here. English as well as Japanese are the official languages, and the slides of all the presentations will be projected in the two languages (without official intepreter services). The Symposium will be one of the major international TRIZ meetings in the world this year, too.

[The First TRIZ Symosium in Japan was held by 'Japan TRIZ CB' on Sept. 1-3, 2005, at a resort training facility, Laforet Shuzenji, Izu. Participants from all over Japan (100) and from overseas (4) took part actively in presentations, discussions, and informal communication, etc., in intimate and eager atmosphere. Presentations in the Symosium will be posted here from now on (scheduling undetermined). |

[The "Collaborative Board" has been formed in Japan by major players
and members of TRIZ vendors, promoters, industrial users, and academia,
as a result of one-year preparatory meetings. Dr. Toshihiro
Hayashi (Hitachi Co.) serves as its chairperson. It will hold
"First TRIZ Symposium" at Shuzenji on Sept. 1-3, 2005. It also
intends to establish the (tentatively called) "Japan TRIZ Association"
in a year or so. (See some TRIZ News in Japan in the back numbers
translated into English.)]
"Technical Committee on 'Development
& Design Process
Engineering Technologies'" is working under the "Ohkan-Rengo" (Transdisciplinary Federation of Science
and
Technology).
