Editor's Note (Toru Nakagawa,  Jul. 7, 2019)

This is a short summary of the WTSP Practice Guide, which was described fully in:
"Practice Guide to Complete the World WTSP Catalogs and to Report It at ETRIA TFC2019 (Toru Nakagawa)" (Jun. 10; Jun. 14, 2019)

The short summary was originally posted as an article in LinkedIn, for the audience who are not so familiar with WTSP:
"Vision and Tasks for Building World WTSP Catalogs are Now Clear and Practical (Toru Nakagawa)" (LinkedIn, Jun. 14, 2019),
and is recorded in the page of "WTSP Communications, Jun. 2019" .

For introducing the current WTSP activities to Japanese readers, I have translated this short summary into Japanese and posted it in this Home Page.  While so doing, I realize the importance of this short summary, and decided to make this independent HTML page.

If you, regardless to WTSP Member or not, are interested in WTSP project, please read this short summary and follow the instructions.

  Editor's Note (Toru Nakagawa, Jul. 14, 2019)

The final form of the WTSP Catalogs is changed from PDF files to HTML files (or Web pages), because the hyperlinks in HTML are more useful then the links in PDF.
Two-step schedule for building the World WTSP Catalogs is announced .  (Step 1) Due of manuscripts of the ◎○ sites: Jul. 28, 2019.  Posting on Aug. 4, 2019. (Step 2) Due of manuscripts of the ◎○□ sites: Jul. 28, 2019.  Posting on Aug. 4, 2019.

Short Summary of WTSP Practice Guide:

Vision and tasks for WTSP Teams in every country are now clear and practical
-- for building World Catalogs of TRIZ-related Sites in the world.

We are pleased to inform you that the vision and tasks of the World TRIZ Sites Project (WTSP) have become much clear and practical.

We can surely achieve the Interactive Edition of World WTSP Catalogs by the collaborative work of WTSP Teams in every country.

We cordially invite you to join this global voluntary project (WTSP) for promoting TRIZ and related methodologies further in the world.

In my Web site "TRIZ Home Page in Japan", I have posted an article (on Jun. 10 and on Jun. 14)
-- "Practice Guide to Complete the World WTSP Catalogs and to Report It at ETRIA TFC2019"

Practice Guide is written step by step with the contents:

Practical Approaches for Completing the World WTSP Catalogs

1. Reconsidering the difficulties
2. To get more WTSP Members and form WTSP Teams in every country
3. To list up and survey TRIZ-related Web sites
4. To visit individual sites to understand, describe, and evaluate them step by step
5. To write and review manuscripts of the Country WTSP Catalog
6. To integrate and build the World WTSP Catalogs
7. Summary of the Tasks requested to individual (Country) WTSP Teams.

Concluding Remarks: What is most crucial for the success of WTSP?

(A) Technical issues have become much clear and practical:

(1) Our final World WTSP Catalog has the structure of a small Web site as shown in the figure:

In the Index file, hundreds of TRIZ-related Web sites are arranged after some hierarchical ways of categorization.

Many 'Descriptions of Sites' files are contributed by WTSP Teams in every country, and contain descriptions of various TRIZ-related sites.

By clicking the site code in the Index file (.html),  description of the site in a 'Descriptions of Sites' file (.html) is displayed in a new window.

(2) WTSP Team in each country prepares the base documents in the system having a similar structure:

The Team first list up Web sites, both by recommendations and by Internet surveys.

Each site should be described in the standard format (by the site owners) or in somewhat relaxed manner (by the surveyors).

'Index Table of Sites' is an Excel table containing basic information of individual sites and is sorted/rearranged in various ways to make an Index of sites.

Converting the Index and 'Descriptions of Sites' files into HTML files (i.e., Web pages), the hyperlinks work properly just as a Country part of the (World) WTSP Catalog.

See the example at 'World WTSP Catalog (Japan Part)' (Jul. 14, 2019)

For preparing the manuscripts, some templates are posted.

Site Description

Index Table of Sites

For building the World WTSP Catalogs, the Team submit the 'Index Table of Sites' file (.xlsx) and the 'Descriptions of Sites' file (.html) as the manuscripts for their part of their country.

The up-to-date documents of the WTSP Catalogs of various countries and of the whole world are posted in the "(A6-A) Current Working Manuscripts of WTSP Catalogs" page.

(B) Tasks and processes to be carried out by the WTSP Teams in various countries are now clear.

We are going to form WTSP Teams in every country, with several to 10 Members and a coordinator, called Country Editor.

The Country Editor plays the most important roles of dispatching tasks to Members, integrating the outputs, and coordinating people.

Our WTSP project is operated on the voluntary basis.

Since all the talented, active TRIZ colleagues are always too busy, we face with the difficulty in getting Members and Country Editors.

This is the most crucial issue for the success of our WTSP project.

To understand the general situations around TRIZ and WTSP, you may refer the 8 summary slides we presented on the WTSP project at the ETRIA TFC2018 .

As described in (A), we have made the vision and process of completing the World WTSP Catalogs clear, we wish and hope that we can now get support and collaboration by many voluntary people.

Our strategy reflects the TRIZ Principles (Principle of Division) and relies on the passion of our colleagues who are inspired by TRIZ:

Proper division of tasks and proper division of systems make our collaboration fruitful to reward many people for their efforts and also to integrate many TRIZ-related Web sites connected and accessible.

Getting your voluntary involvement as WTSP Members and as Country Editors is most crucial for the success of the WTSP project.

Current WTSP Members are posted in the "(A2) Organization of WTSP" page .

Would you please join this voluntary global project for promoting TRIZ and related methodologies further in the world?
