Topic 5.   What can one do and why?
      (Functions of the systems)

Emil has got a new riddle for you.
While taking a temperature the doctors often have a problem with small children.  They can not wait until the temperature is taken.  What to do?

     You need help from:

A kind.........
He is sitting under the tree,
A cow and a wolf
Come to be treated...
Draw a picture of what your new assistant can do.

Name parts of a pen, that helps to write .............................
And can you write without a pen?
Prove it .....................................................................................................
.............................................................................................................................................................

A function is  what the system  is meant for.  Each system can perform many functions depending on different properties.

In a magic forest there lived the Mouse.  Once he came out of his hole and saw the Squirrel.  The Mouse said to himself:  "I don't  want to be a mouse any more.  I wish I could jump on the branches like a squirrel!"  In the forest also lived the Sorcerer and he can fulfill the wishes.  What does the  Mouse lack to jump like the Squirrel?
     ............................................................................................................

The Mouse was offended: "I wish I could jump like a squirrel".  And then he saw the Fox.  "I wish I could run as fast as a fox"!
     .............................................................................................................

"I wish I could howl as a bear"
     ............................................................................................................

"I wish I could fly  as a swallow".
     ...............................................................................................................

"I wish I could swim as a duck".
     ...............................................................................................................

"I wish I could show off as a  peacock".
     ...............................................................................................................
