Getting to know the subject.

Hello!
Guess what it is:

They fly without wings,
They run without legs,
They sail without a sail?

You are right. These are clouds. Usually we hardly pay attention to the clouds in the sky; only when it rains and we anticipate the appearance of the sun again. And what would you say if on a fine day a fluffy white cloud addresses you with the following words:

- Hello, my name is Colabo!

You understand, of course, that a cloud can speak only in fairy tales. No wonder that Colabo is a fairy cloud. It can be as small as a fluffy white kitten, and as big as an endless snow desert; as black as caustic fog and as white as snow flakes; as soft as a downy feather-bed and as solid as ice slide, as noisy as a mighty ocean, as quiet as a forest spring, as warm as sun rays and as cold as splashes of a fountain.

Each of you can see Colabo, talk to him. Take a pencil and draw a picture of your new friend as you imagine him.

Colabo travels a lot and visits different countries. In one the countries, he heard a story about Losharick.
The cloud wanted very much to see this unusual animal, but he had to water the flowers and therefore he was late for the meeting with Losharick. Please make a picture of Losharick, then Colobo will be able to find out what this unusual animal looks like.

What picture was easier to make: a picture of Colabo or of Losharic? What is the difference between them?

Imagination is an ability of a person to imagine something that does not exist in reality. It is possible to imagine what you have already seen before, to reconstruct mentally a familiar image. It's more difficult to devise something that you have never seen.

Our studies will be devoted to developing of a creative imagination. You will learn how to compose up interesting fairy tales, to make up amazing riddles, to devise clever proverbs, to solve creative problems.

Imagine the following situation. Once Emil got into an awful cave of a Giant. The Giant was very happy to get an easy prey because Emil was only a boy. But for fun the Giant decided to play with him in the following way. If Emil could drive the Giant from the cave, he would be let free if not ... the Giant would fry him and eat. How to help Emil?¹

Emil knows a lot of similar problems, but what is more important, he can teach to solve them, using the rules.

Interesting adventures are waiting for you, as Colabo will teach you how to compose fairy tales. You will meet the magicians and their amazing friends because fairy tales are full of wonders.

Footnote 1: One of the possible ways of solving the problem: Emil suggests the Giant playing a different game: He, the Giant, is not allowed to enter his cave. The rules of such a game is unlikely to appeal to the Giant. So he will run out of his cave... and, will lose the game.
